
Ron
Meisels, founder and president of Phases & Cycles,
has been an active analyst since 1971.
He was Vice President
and Director of Technical Research of Nesbitt Thomson
(now BMO Nesbitt Burns) from 1982 to 1990. Ron
was ranked among the top three technical analysts by
Canadian Institutions for six consecutive years (Brendan
Wood Survey).
He is a regular guest on BNN (former RobTV)
is frequently quoted in The National Post, Bloomberg,
Canadian Press and Reuters. He contributes a weekly column “What
the Charts Say” to the Globe & Mail.
Ron Meisels (on left) received the A. J. Frost Award
from Ralph Acampora at the 2004 Conference of the Canadian
Society of Technical Analysts (CSTA) in recognition for
his outstanding contribution to the development of Technical
Analysis.
He becomes the first Canadian recipient of this honour.
This prestigious award was created in 1999 to recognize
the lifelong accomplishments of A. J. (Jack) Frost and
subsequent practitioners and innovators.
Ron Meisels is the founder and first President of the
CSTA and the first Secretary of the International Federation
of Technical Analysts (IFTA).
